We took a train from the Nizamuddin railway station; It was around 8 hours journey from Delhi to Chandigarh. We reached there around 7:00AM in the morning and from there we booked a cab
(4 more hours to reach our destination). After a long journey, we are all tired and need some coffee and rest. We stayed at Summit – Le Royal Hotel, is in an awesome location, away from the city crowd amid nature at its best, yet well connected to all amenities. Clean and well-
organized rooms with a breathtaking view, good food, polite and courtesies staff.

Best Places to visit in Shimla:
The Scandal Point
One of the most popular places in Shimla, Scandal Point is the intersection between The Mall and The Ridge. This is the point where the end of the Mall Road joins the Ridge. The name
given to this placed adds a tint of mystery to it. It has been named so after romantic folklore.
The story says that during the British Era in 1892, Bhupinder Singh, the Maharaja of Patiala fell in love with the daughter of the viceroy. It is believed that the king and viceroy’s daughter eloped from this point, way back in 1892. Therefore, he was banned from entering Shimla. Later on, he founded the new summer capital of Chail for himself, which is around 45 km from Shimla.
The Mall Road
Honestly, for me, all the Mall roads are the same whether you are in Mussoorie, Manali, Nainital Or Shimla, etc.. It is a special place that you must visit while you are in walking mood. During winters, the place becomes more romantic. There is snow all around, you can hold hands, walk, click pictures, eat at the cafes and buy cozy winter wears from the shops nearby.
It is situated 2.5 km away from the ridge, at an elevation of 8000 ft above sea level. The temple is said to be existing from the times of Ramayana… This ancient shrine was built by a sage named Yaaku and is dedicated to the Hindu god – Lord Hanuman. You have to cover a steep hill trek of around 2.5 km to reach the temple.
Kufri – Known as beauty of Shimla
It is located around 15 km from Shimla which has a famous historic backdrop Known for its ski runs Kufri, attracts some of the largest numbers of travelers from far and wide, coming to visit Shimla. One may find peaks covered with snow and a small zoo in the area and never to forget to do Yak rides are an additional attraction, we actually enjoyed.
